CHRISTIAN POEM
Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace
The payer of St Francis is a catholic Christian prayer. The first known publication of this prayer was submitted to the French publication La Clochette in 1912.
In 1967 Sebastian Temple produced the hymn version of the prayer of St Francis which is more popularly known as "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace".
This hymn is popular in Anglican, Methodist, and Catholic churches and is often used in wedding ceremonies.
Make Me A Channel of Your Peace has been recorded by a number of recording artists including Sinead O'connor, and Susan Boyle.
It is also the anthem of the Royal British Legion. It is performed annually at the Royal Albert Hall on Remembrance Day.
Make Me a Channel of Your Peace" - is a prayer where the believer talks about being a vehicle through whom God works towards goodness and light.
The movement away from darkness into light, from despair to hope.

Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be
consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen
